The history
|
The past unravels like silk... An invoice dated December 1858 still today recalls a distant past when cuts of fabric were still measured in arm’s lengths:the first article in our history. Yet Tellini SpA is a tailored garment with more than 150 years of experience, a passion going back several generations. At the end of the First World War, Gregorio Job - grandfather of the current owners - took over the Tellini company well-known in Udine in the wholesale fabric sector. The history of the company is based on values handed down from one generation to the next: even difficult periods are experienced as a challenge ensuring change, renewal and growth. |

| ...a company, a soul In 1928, Ferruccio Job was 15 years old and his father decided to bring him into the company to work alongside his studies. The young man earned his degree at 22, presenting a thesis discussing the textile wholesale sector, and soon began his “career” at Tellini, the company that he took over completely in 1956. The opening on to international markets, the inauguration of the Trieste branch, the set-up of Partigross Srl - the first textile wholesale centre in Italybringing together the most important local companies in a single, modern structure: all this was the outcome of the new impetus that Ferruccio Job managed to impart to the company and its ability to blend tradition and innovation. |
